Rim Fire 32% contained

YOSEMITE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Rim Fire is now 32 percent contained and has burned 201,894 acres.

To put that in perspective, the Rim Fire has burned about as much land as city limits of Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Fallon combined.

Structure defense continues in Pinecrest, Mi-Wuk Vilalge, Confidence, Cold Springs, and Hodgdon Meadow, and Big Oak Flat in Yosemite National Park.

There are mandatory evacuations continue south of HWY 120 on the south eastern edge of the fire and towards Yosemite National Park North of the Old Yosemite Road. Tioga Road West of Yosemite Creek Picnic Area is closed.
