RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- In a new deal approved by the Reno City Council, a non-profit group will be taking over Rosewood Lakes Golf Course.

The First Tee of Northern Nevada will lease, manage, operate and redevelop the 18-hole golf course that has been a financial strain on the city for years. The agreement, approved Wednesday by the City Council, includes a short-term lease for The First Tee to start operating the golf course this year. The lease will remain in effect until construction on the Southeast Connector roadway begins.

The First Tee tells News 4 the plan is to have the course open to the public by May 1st.

I hope Reno will support this endeavor or it will suffer the same fate as D'Andrea and Northgate. I for one am going to give them some business!
