RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The SPCA of Northern Nevada is offering a specialty education class Wednesday on the subject of Energy Medicine.

The free class will be taught by local veterinarian, Dr. Michelle Brim, from Lakeside Animal Hospital. Dr. Brim will discuss the history of Energy Medicine, in what circumstances it would be used, the different modalities used to address disease or illness (acupuncture, Reiki, Therapeutic Laser or Massage), and the latest scientific information emerging in this field of medicine.

Dr. Brim is certified in acupuncture and massage therapy, and currently working toward certification in Reiki and Quantum Touch -- there is a difference for massage and acupuncture training and certification with animals.

To save a spot in class, RSVP to Elizabeth@spcanevada.org. Class will be held July 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the shelter on 4950 Spectrum Blvd.
