SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- If you're looking for something fun to do with your four legged friend this weekend, Paws on the Plaza is a free, public event and fun for the whole family.

If you're just looking to watch, head down to the Sparks Plaza at 10 a.m., but if you would like your furry friend to enter into the parade, arrive at 9:15 a.m. instead. The cost to enter and participate in the Paws on the Plaza parade of dogs is $15.

Tom Jacobs, Executive Director of the SPCA, says the City of Sparks came to them last year and asked if they would host an animal event in Sparks Plaza; the SPCA agreed and the Paws on the Plaza was born.
