WASHINGTON (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Today, Scenic America filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia seeking to overturn a ruling that reversed the agency’s barring of digital billboards.
The lawsuit alleges that the Federal Highway Administration has wrongfully allowed commercial digital billboards along federal highways nationwide.
The lawsuit says that FHWA violates the lighting standards established under the customary use provisions of the Highway Beautification Act.
A pending lawsuit filed in Reno by Scenic Nevada includes arguments that the City Council approved an ordinance that violates the ban on flashing, intermittent lights along the federal highways in the Reno city limits.
