UPDATE: RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)--
The Reno Police Department joined forces with Washoe County Search and Rescue to look for 60-year-old Colleen Spencer.
Search crews searched for Spencer all afternoon Sunday and well into the night.
A raven advanced the search even further just after 7 p.m. Sunday.
Colleen is described as a white female adult, approximately five feet four inches tall and 130 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a long black trench coat and tan galoshes.
Spencer was last seen on November 16 at approximately 1:00 pm in the area of Longley Lane and Rock Boulevard. Colleen may be in need of immediate medical attention. She frequents the areas around Pembroke Drive and has been found in the past wandering and disoriented in the area of Airway Drive and Peckham Lane.
Sunday search crews combed through southwest Reno looking in parks, along sidewalks and all along the Truckee River.
"These areas happen to be areas this missing person is familiar with, that she frequents, and we suspect that that's probably where we're going to find her," Reno Police Department Sgt. Scott Shaw says.
Spencer may suffer from some form of dementia which would cause her to be disoriented.
"Based on some on going medical issues that she has as well as the inclement weather that we have it's getting colder with the rain and the snow we are concerned with her safety," Sgt. Shaw says.
She was living with family when she wondered away.
There have been possible sightings, but RPD sergeant Scott Shaw tells News 4 nothing has been confirmed.
Police are looking for community help.
"That's why we want to get her photo out to the media and we appreciate your guys' assistance and the public's assistance in trying to locate her. They public plays a key role in finding her and finding her safely," Sgt. Shaw says.
Colleen may be in need of immediate medical attention. If you see her or have any information regarding her whereabouts you're urged to contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2126.
