RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Last week, News 4 brought you an On Your Side investigation of a patient stabbing that occurred inside the Reno VA hospital in late March.

Veteran Bruce Hill said he was attacked by a man he was asked to share a hospital room with because of space issues, even after the man demonstrated serious psychological issues, including using the entire room as a bathroom.

On Monday, Senator Harry Reid responded to the investigation on the incident. "Well, it's obvious, someone who is sharing a room with someone and getting up and urinating on the floor and defecating on the floor shouldn't be sharing a room with someone. They should be placed on a psych facility and they have that there and that's where he should have been placed."

Coming up Tuesday on News 4 at 11, we will be speaking with newly-appointed VA Secretary Bob McDonald at the Reno VA hospital. We will hear what he has to say about the incident, and the overall state of the northern Nevada VA Healthcare System.

Maybe Reid can spare a room at his place? Then he'd get a real feel for what it's like a a VA hospital. And start caring. But I dought it.
