RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Everyone gets excited about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but some shoppers out at Plumgate Shopping Center Saturday say it's all about Small Business Saturday.

The whole country joined in on the shopping action for Small Business Saturday and right here locally some shoppers got to enjoy a little vino while they shopped local.

The Plumgate Shopping Center on the corner of Plumb and Arlington hosts a free wine walk once a month on the last Saturday of the month.

This month it just so happens the Saturday landed on Small Business Saturday.

"It's a great day to get out and support all of our local businesses we are here buying and supporting our local shops," shopper Ginny Wiswell says.

11 stores participate in the wine walks.

The businesses tell News 4 it's a great way to encourage shoppers to get out and see what local stores have to offer.

After all the majority of businesses across the U.S. are small businesses.

"If we don't have small business we have nothing. I mean you know give kudos to Walmart and corporations fine, but we need as a community to get into these small businesses and let these small businesses thrive," Core 4 Personal Training owner Terri Bakaric says.

According to Simon Brown, manager of Napa Sonoma, Saturday was the largest turn out they've had yet for the wine walk.
