GENOA, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A small kitchen fire in the Genoa Station Bar and Grill prompted evacuations this morning around 8:45, according to fire crews at the scene.
Fire crews arrived quickly and extinguished the fire. State Route 206 was also blocked off in the area of the restaurant for two hours.
Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the fire broke out in the kitchen area and was contained to the kitchen and attic area. The estimated damage costs at this time is approximately $75,000.00.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but arson has been ruled out. No injuries were reported.
