'Sopranos' star James Gandolfini dies

James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano on "The Sopranos" died earlier today in Italy, TMZ reports.

Gandolfini was 51 and is believed to have suffered a heart attack.

Gandolfini was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, according to TMZ.

Gandolfini also appeared in movies including "Get Shorty," "The Mexican" and "Zero Dark Thirty."

Such an awesome actor - I first seen him in "True Romance" with Christian Slater - and man I so hated him for beating up Alabama. My prayers to your family.
