Sparks PD investigates attempted kidnapping

SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- According to a press release from Sparks Police, officers responded to a possible kidnapping victim at the Safeway gas station on Vista Way early Thursday morning.

At about 3 a.m., officers were dispatched on a report of a female with a head injury. When officers arrived on scene, the victim -- whose name is being withheld -- told officers she had been kidnapped and taken northbound on Vista from I-80. She escaped in the area of the 1400 block of Satellite Dr. by jumping out of the moving vehicle. 
The suspect is described as a black male adult named Damon who goes by the nickname “DG.”  Damon is described as being 5'8" inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. Damon is known to frequent local casinos. He was accompanied by a second black male adult with an unknown description. 
Damon was driving a rental car with California license plates described as a red Chevy Impala. There is no further information and the investigation is ongoing.
The Sparks Police Department would like anyone with information regarding this incident as well as any information on Damon to contact the Sparks Police Department Detectives or Secret Witness.
