SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Two cars were involved in a shooting in the area of Linda Way and Freeport Boulevard on Friday.
According to a press release, the incident happened at around 2:45 p.m. in Sparks. Witnesses described a red Ford Mustang and white Chevy Suburban driving at a high rate of speed in that area. Occupants of the vehicle were observed shooting at an unknown pedestrian as they drove through the intersection, and then left the scene.
The vehicles were then observed to return back to the intersection, and the occupants of the vehicles exited and began to collect evidence of the shooting from the intersection.
Officers were able to locate the red Ford Mustang and its occupants. The white Chevy Suburban fled the area and remains outstanding.
No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting. One vehicle that was not involved in the incident was struck and damaged by gunfire.
The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
