SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) --Just before 5 p.m. on Sunday March 9, members of the Sparks Police Department responded to the report of an Armed Robbery at the Safe Mini-Mart located at 1140 Rock Blvd. Sparks, Nevada.

The victim, a clerk working at the store, told officers that around 4:20 pm a Black or Hispanic male adult entered the store and pointed a large caliber firearm at him demanding money. The victim stated that he opened the register of the business at the suspect’s demand and the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash and change. The suspect then exited the store and fled Northbound on Rock Blvd on foot.

The subsequent investigation by patrol officers located video surveillance footage of the suspect entering and exiting the store. Please see attached photographs of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Black or Hispanic male adult approximately 30 years old, 5’8” to 5’11” and 150lbs to 175lbs. The suspect was seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, sunglasses and white and black tennis shoes. The suspect is believed to be armed with a large caliber handgun or possibly a “sawed-off shotgun”.
