Sparks Police conduct underage alcohol buying sting; no businesses sell to minor

SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & -- On Feb. 18, the Sparks Police Department completed an underage drinking enforcement campaign.

Sparks Police say they had an underage Police Explorer use her real ID and attempt to buy alcohol from 15 local businesses. None of the clerks sold alcohol to her.

The Sparks Police Department would like thank the following businesses for following proper procedures and the law when it comes to the sale of alcohol to minors:

Walgreen's at 2299 Oddie, Safeway Fast Stop at 2808 Vista, Jackson's at 1365 Baring, Raley's Aisle One at 2433 Wingfield Hills Rd, Discount Liquor and Smoke at 205 Nichols, Star Liquor at 1485 E. Prater, PJ's Discount Liquor at 1293 Baring, S Mart 5225 Vista, The Fairdeal Market at 1695 Sullivan, Discount Center 2250 Oddie, Pauls Market at 1550 Vance, The Saag Market at 1447 Prater, Pyramid Discount Liquor at 300 Pyramid, Midget Market at 128 Victorian, and Kings Market at 562 E. Prater.
