SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Sparks Police are on the lookout for a man who attempted to lure an 11-year-old boy to his van.
Sparks Police say on May 14 around 5:20, a mother called and said her son was riding his bike in the area of Bud Beasley Elementary School, when a male unknown to the child attempted to lure him into his van.
The victim says he kept riding his bike toward his home and the suspect followed again trying to lure the child into the van. The suspect eventually drove off in an unknown direction. The victim made it home and reported the incident to his mother.
Sparks Police Officers say they searched for the suspect but were unable to find him.
The suspect is described as a white male approximately 35 to 40 years old and wearing dark sunglasses. He is described as having collar-length brown hair and a medium build. He is also reported to have a deep voice.
The suspect's vehicle is described as an older rusty, faded red Ford van with dark tinted windows and small tinted windows on the back. The van has a passenger side sliding door. The bumpers of the van appear to have damage.
The suspect possibly had a dog in the van with him.
