Sparks Police searching for Armed Robbery suspect

SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Sparks Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at around 5 p.m. Monday afternoon. The incident took place at a US Bank branch inside the Raley's on 2389 Wingfield Hills.

The suspect is being described as a white male wearing a sport coat, a dark colored hat, glasses or sunglasses, and shaved or close-cut hair, according to a SPD press release. The suspect is also believed to be at least 45 years of age, and had one arm in what appeared to be a sling. He presented a note that said he had a weapon, and demanded cash. The suspect was given an undetermined amount of money and fled the store.

Officers, including a K-9 unit, attempted to locate the suspect but were not immediately successful. No photo of the suspect is available as of yet.
