Sparks Police searching for suspect accused of battery with deadly weapon

SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- One man is wanted after an alleged battery with deadly weapon at a Sparks motel on Monday.

According to a press release, the Sparks Police Department responded to the Motel 6 in the 2400-block of Victorian Avenue just before 11 a.m. Officers arrived and met with the victim who had allegedly been beaten and robbed, Scott Corwin. Corwin had injuries to his face and head, and was transported to Renown for treatment. Officers and detectives learned that Corwin was beaten by a subject armed with a handgun, his personal property was taken as was a vehicle he had borrowed from a friend.

The suspect was described as a black male adult, approximately 6-3, with a very large build. The stolen vehicle is a 2004 Jeep with NV plates 319 RMN. Both the suspect and vehicle are outstanding at this time.

Sparks Police is asking anyone with information about this case to contact Secret Witness at 322-4900, the Sparks Police Department detective division at 353-2225, or Sparks Police dispatch at 353-2231.
