RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Janet Berry sentenced Justin Ouimet, a former Sparks resident, age 26, to two Life Without the Possibility of Parole prison terms, plus an additional 61 years. All prison terms were ordered to run consecutively.
Washoe County District Attorney's office says Ouimet previously pled guilty to all four counts charged against him, which were two counts of First Degree Murder with the Use of a Deadly Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and First Degree Arson.
On Sept. 17, 2010, the wife of Ouimet, Danielle Lawrence, was at work, and had her grandmother Lana Stone babysit Lawrence's son Connor on I St. in Sparks.
At around 1pm, shortly before Lawrence was due to come home, Ouimet entered the unlocked residence and stabbed Connor and Lana multiple times, resulting in their deaths. Connor was three-years-old, and Lana was 62.
The defendant then set fire to a chair and left. Lawrence arrived a short time later and called 911, WCDA's Office says.
