SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- On November 8, 2012, Honorable David Hardy sentenced Brian Tillman Sherven to 35 years in prison for molesting his six year old granddaughter, according to Deputy District Attorney Nicole Moschello.
Sherven is 58-years-old, and previously pled guilty to two counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14. His first opportunity at parole will be in 14 years.
On December 23, 2010, Sparks police Department officers responded to a local residence on a report of a sexual assault of a six-year-old girl. Moschello says the six-year-old’s mother, who is Sherven’s biological daughter, explained that her daughter had confided in her that Sherven had orally and digitally penetrated her. On one of the occasions, Sherven allegedly whispered in her ear that she was “sexy”.
When interviewed, Sherven denied the molestation, explaining that he must have been asleep and in a dream state when he molested his granddaughter. Ultimately, Sherven admitted to the alleged acts, Moschello says.
