RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A woman who was in ICU for almost a month after being stabbed has succumbed to her injuries, according to Reno Police.
Reno Police say Tanjernia Whitfield, 58, was stabbed Sept. 2 by Nathan Scott Jr. on Mill Street. On Sunday, Sept. 30, the died from her injuries.
Scott has been arrested for Battery with a Deadly Weapon Causing Substantial Bodily Harm. The Reno Police Department, Washoe County Medical Examiner and the Washoe County District Attorney are continuing the investigation. At this time, no new charges are being filed.
