VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Saying how he still fears for his life, the 18-year-old who law enforcement says was choked by a former Storey County Commissioner at a basketball game is breaking his silence about that night.

Kody Burell took the stand today to ask for a restraining order against Former Commissioner Bum Hess to be extended. Burell says more than two weeks afterwards he's still having nightmares and worried Hess will attack him. Those fears have grown so much, Burell says he's going to see a counselor for help.

“I fear he's going to do this again an succeed this next time because there's not going to be anyone there to pull him off me,” Burrell said.
