RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- UPDATE: Female student sustained a minor ankle injury. Parents took her to the hospital.
News 4 has confirmed with Washoe County School District there was a vehicle versus pedestrian incident near Billinghurst Middle School around 7:30 Friday morning.
School District Public Information Officer Victoria Campbell says the pedestrian was a female student and has a minor ankle injury. The driver stayed on scene.
REMSA and school police responded to the incident.
No roads are blocked off and school will start on time.
