Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) --Students and alumni of the University of Nevada have decorated the Mackay statue on campus in anticipation of former Wolf Pack football player Colin Kaepernick's performance in Super Bowl XLVII.

The statue of John William Mackay on the north end of the campus "quad" can be seen wearing a throwback Kaepernick jersey from his time as quarterback for the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Elsewhere across Reno and Sparks, local businesses and casinos have added decorations in support of Kaepernick and the 49ers, and a banner runs across the Reno Arch that reads "Go Kap Go!"
