Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- University students held a candle light vigil in downtown Reno to remind the community that giving back honors those who lost their lives on 9/11 as well as those who continue to fight for our freedom.
12 years later, northern Nevadans gathered in downtown Reno to remember 9/11.
"This needs to be forever remembered," said John Stroud, Senior Vice Commander-In-Chief of Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
The University of Nevada's Campus Unity group organized the vigil and invited local organizations to be a part of the remembrance ceremony.The Food Bank of Northern Nevada and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States were both represented at the vigil.
