MINDEN, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Investigators of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have identified three suspects believed involved in two recent residential burglaries that occurred on Wildrose Dr, in Minden, NV, between Sunday, August 19th and Thursday, August 23rd, 2012.
Through extensive follow-up investigation, DCSO detectives were able to tie the suspects to possession of property that was stolen in the residential burglaries. Much of the property, estimated to have a value of approximately $40,000, has been recovered.
Thirty-year-old Justin Turek of Minden, NV, has been arrested and is currently in custody in the Douglas County Jail on charges of Possession of Stolen Property, and 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm. His bail is set at $50,000.
Turek’s girlfriend, 30-year-old Melanie Gurule (aka: Melanie Anelo) of Reno, NV, was arrested and is currently in custody in the Washoe County Jail on charges stemming from pawning of property believed stolen in the burglaries. Gurule has been booked into the Washoe County Jail on charges of Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, and Obtaining Money by False Pretenses. Her bail is set at $30,500.
Twenty-eight-year-old Ryan Hiltz of Gardnerville, NV, an associate of Turek and Gurule, is also believed involved. Hiltz was taken into custody by detectives after they contacted him regarding this investigation. Hiltz was subsequently booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Ex-Felon in Possession of a Firearm and 2 counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm. His bail is set at $50,000 cash only.
Detectives are continuing their investigation to determine each of the suspect’s individual involvement in the burglaries.
