RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- It's what every baseball player aims for.
Before the two All-Star teams made up of the best players from the PCL and International League battle it out on Wednesday night it's every man for himself for the home run derby.
Six players Triple-A players will compete for the title of home run derby champion Monday night.
Reno Aces' very own third baseman Matt Davidson will be welcomed home in a big way after being dubbed the MVP in the All-Star Futures Game Sunday and is one of the three players selected from the PCL and will battle another three from the International league.
Also, McQueen High School recent graduate Kody Reynolds will be competing as the 7th man. Reynolds won a competition against more than a dozen other local high schoolers for the chance to compete in the derby.

How it works:
Three rounds, 10 outs a player each round. The top two sluggers will be selected after the first two rounds. Then, their scores will start over and they'll compete for the title in the third round.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the derby starts 7:05 p.m.
Triple-A All-Star Game starts at 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday.
