CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A local teen who won the US Jr. Team Trials in whitewater slalom has been deemed too young to compete.

Sage Donnelly, a 13-year-old from Carson City, was the number one Junior Women's kayak and canoe slalom racer at the 2014 Team Trials for the Jr. Worlds competition in Australia this April. Unfortunately, she is too young to make the actual team and compete internationally because she must be 15-years-old.

Donnelly also won the women's pro freestyle competition at the 2013 Reno River Fest, as well as the Vail Mountain Go Pro Games.

BIG Congratulations, Sage...you are FANTASTIC but the Video quality is VERY amateurish and inept, and it only reflects on "News 4"!!! Your brilliant Career is huck'n boof'n....
