RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a teenage boy is dead as the result of a sledding accident in southern Washoe County.
The sheriff's office says it received a call about the accident Sunday afternoon.
Sgt. Chris Banks tells the Reno Gazette-Journal the the youth was sledding down a hill and hit a tree.
Banks says efforts were made at the scene to try and revive the boy.
The paper reports that the boy's name and age were not immediately known.
