RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- One of Reno's most beloved events -- The 19th Annual Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival -- starts today and continues through the weekend.

Gates open Friday at 2 p.m. and the event continues until 8 p.m. Saturday's festivities begin at 11 a.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Enjoy the best in regional barbecue while sampling beers from more than 50 microbreweries and enjoying free rock and blues acts on two main stages.

Admission is $30 daily and $50 for the whole weekend and includes an eight ounce souvenir cup and unlimited beer tastings during the festival. VIP packages are also available at the one-day rate of $100 or the two-day rate of $120. The packages include a commemorative tasting mug with an unlimited beer tasting wrist band (for one or two days), a 64-ounce growler filled once with your choice of Brew Brothers' beer and a BBQ platter from a main food booth.

The event means fun, but it also means there will be street closures to keep in mind. They are as follows:
  • Virginia St. between 2nd St. and 5th St.
  • 4th St. from Sierra St. to Center St.
  • Commercial Row from Sierra St. to Center St.
