DMV reaches capacity for drivers authorization cards
(KSNV News 3, KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- RENO, Nev. The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles and KSNV News 3 say that all offices in Las Vegas are at standing room only status today as people line up to apply for drivers authorization cards.
DMV officials say the offices in Reno and Carson have reached capacity and they started turning away people seeking drivers authorization cards at the door at 1 p.m.
They say more than a 100 people took written driving tests today at the Reno office off of Galetti Way.
The offices in Reno and Carson are close tomorrow but officials say they should come back Monday and throughout the week as lines are expected to be shorter.
According to KSNV News 3, The Las Vegas offices at Sahara and Decatur were beyond building capacity by 10 a.m. this morning.
