RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The city of Reno is looking for feedback and input in planning to convert the former Northgate golf course into a community park called Sierra Vista Park.

Tentative plans for Sierra Vista Park in Northwest Reno include a network of non-motorized trails around the property. There is potential for other outdoor recreation or even reuse of the former clubhouse, and city officials say there is a lot of opportunity for the 200 plus, acres of land.

The city is hosting an open house this week to present design options on site and answer questions for residents. The open house is Thursday, April 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A survey is also available at www.reno.gov, surveys are due by 5 p.m. tomorrow.
