Thieves targeting gasoline from parked vehicles

RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) –The Reno Police Department is warning the public about an increase in theives targeting parked cars over the past ten weeks stealing gasoline.  A majority of the victims were targeted in business parking lots, private residential lots, as well as city streets.  Most of the crimes are occuring during night time hours.

If you are a victim of gasoline theft you should immediately check underneath you vehicle for any punctures before you start your car.

Anyone with information regarding the gasoline thefts please call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or the Reno Police Department at 334-2175.
