UPDATE: 2:10PM - Barb Stapleton with NHP says The tractor trailer semi was traveling southbound when the second trailer’s right wheels caught the dirt on the shoulder of the highway and caused the second trailer to tip over onto its side.
The content of the trailer was an oil-based liquid that is flammable because it has to be kept at a higher than normal temperature.
Traffic was able to travel in the northbound lane while crews were on the scene, but they have temporarily stopped traffic for about an hour, while they have a tow truck on scene to tip the trailer back onto its wheels.
Stapleton says alcohol was not a factor and there were no injuries to anyone involved.
UPDATE: 12:05PM - The North Lyon County Fire Protection District reports that the highway has been opened to one lane with an escort through the crash site.
There has been no report of injuries or cause of the crash. NLCFPD expects traffic delays for several hours.
