Sam Shaw has been selling Christmas trees for almost 50 years. He started when he was just 19-years-old.

Now the proud owner of Toll House Tree Lot Shaw wants to do something special for the community this holiday season.

"It just gives you a good feeling," Shaw says. "You know that tree is going to be well thought of when it's in their home."

Starting on December 6th, Shaw will giving away 50 free trees to families in need.

Toll House is located on 12185 S. Virginia St. and has about 1,500 trees for folks to choose from ranging from $14.99 all the way up to $300.

There are some more opportunities for families in need to get Christmas trees this year.

Wooster High School's Holiday Lane is giving away about ten decorated artificial trees to families in the community. To sign up, call Amanda 321-5151.

The non-profit "Think Kindness" is hosting a ‘Buy one, Give one’ free holiday program.

For each tree someone buys, they will give one to a family in need. For any questions, to sign up, or nominate a family call 636-8026.
