TRUCKEE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Truckee Police Department has arrested two suspects after a series of burglary reports.

On Mar. 9, 2013, police say they served search warrants related to these burglary cases at several locations. During one of the search warrants, officers contacted Anthony Torres, 19. Torres had a large amount of Crystal Methamphetamine and cash on him at the time of the search warrant. Torres was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale. Police say additional charges related to the original burglaries and gang affiliation were later added.

On Mar. 12, 2013, police found a second suspect. Sergio Sanchez, 19, was located in the parking lot of Henness Flats Apts and attempted to flee by hiding in a vehicle driven by his girlfriend, Sabrina Kantlehner, 18. Officers detained Kantlehner and subsequently found Sanchez in the rear of the vehicle. Police say Sanchez also had Crystal Methamphetamine and an air-soft pistol in the vehicle with him. Sanchez was arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale and attempted burglary from the earlier case. Kantlehner was arrested for aiding and abetting a known felon when she tried to hide Sanchez during his escape.
