TRUCKEE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Truckee Police Department is launching a ski, snowboard and bicycle registration program to improve identifying and recovering lost or stolen skis, snowboards and bicycles.
The registration process can be done three different ways:
1. Go to www.townoftruckee.com
/ Departments/ Police / Ski, Snowboard and Bicycle Registration
2. Direct Link: http://www.townoftruckee.com/index.aspx?recordid=71&page=1226
3. Fill out a hard copy brochure and either mail it or turn it in to the Truckee Police Department.
Ski, board and bicycle owners simply fill out the information requested on the form and the Truckee Police Department will enter the information into our database.
Once the information is received you may request a decal at the Truckee Police Department or have it mailed and attach it to your ski, snowboard or bicycle.
