Two Dayton men arrested for residential burglary

DAYTON, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Two Dayton men have been arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a residence in Lyon County.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, 20-year-old Tyler Wutch and 19-year-old Michael Mays were seen breaking into a residence on Ring Road on March 13. When deputies arrived, both suspected fled the scene and hid in a nearby field for several hours. The subsequent burglary investigation showed property was missing from the residence, including multiple firearms.

With the assistance from Dayton citizens, the suspects were identified and captured when they emerged from their hiding spot. The firearms that were stolen from the residence were recovered, and both men were taken into custody without incident.

Bail for Wutch and Mays was set at $25,000 each.
