Two hospitalized after Pyramid Way traffic incident

SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- A traffic incident has sent two people to the hospital and blocked traffic on Pyramid Way.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Pyramid near Queen Way, when a Ford F-350 got in front of them. Both lost control and crashed. The driver and passenger of the motorcyle were ejected from the bike. The motorcyle slide on its side across the center of the road and hit the front of a passenger car.

The driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Both the drivers of the truck and passenger car are not hurt.

All lanes on Pyramid Way are shut down from Queen Way to Disc Drive.

Hope the driver of the truck was cited for unsafe passing. It's obvious from the story the truck passed the bike in spite of oncoming traffic and cut the bike off getting back in the right lane,hitting the bike. They probably should have tested its (the driver of the truck,since they're not indicating gender anymore) blood alcohol too. Also hope the riders make full recoveries.
