SUSANVILLE, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Two men have been arrested after robbing a man and shooting him in the leg in Susanville.
On Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at around 10:40am, officers of the Susanville Police Department responded to 1070 Paiute Lane on a report of a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left leg. The suspects had fled the scene prior to the arrival of the officers.
The victim was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center, and later transferred to Renown Medical Center in Reno, NV for treatment of his injuries.
Initial interviews revealed that one of the suspects knew the victim and went to his apartment to rob him, which subsequently resulted in the shooting of the victim.
The investigation led officers to a residence in the 600 block of Court Street, where David Fernandes Medeiros, 47, of Herlong and Chad Bernard Patton, 35, of Susanville were taken into custody without incident. Both subjects were booked into the Lassen County Jail on the charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and possession of stolen property. They will be held on $65,000 bail.
