CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A fight last night in the 1000 block of Woodside Drive resulted in the hospitalization of one man, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

The fight took place between acquaintances, and occurred while people were heavily intoxicated, Furlong said. One man was beaten badly enough that he had to be taken by CareFlight to Renown. This person is currently in critical condition, and has very serious injuries throughout his body, Furlong said. His identity has not yet been released.

Furlong tells News4 that deputies do not know who started the fight, but they are in the process of interviewing everyone involved. The Sheriff’s office is currently speaking with the DA, but no one has been charged and the brawl was not gang related.
