SQUAW VALLEY, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Weather postponed the first day of skiing at the U.S. Alpine Championships at Squaw Valley yesterday, but the competition is now underway.
Today's events will feature both the men's and women's giant slalom races.
Among the skiers--many of whom are Olympic hopefuls--will be hometown favorite and gold medal winner Julia Mancuso.
This is the first time historic Squaw Valley has hosted the U.S. Alpine Championships in more than a decade.
