RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- University Police Services is investigating an assault on a student.
The student reported that on Jan. 27, at approximately 9:00pm in the area of 9th & Virginia, she was battered and knocked unconscious after having a brief conversation with an unknown suspect.
The suspect police are looking for is described as a black male, 5'7, 180 lbs., blue jeans, grey puffy jacket, and missing two front teeth.
Anyone having information related to this crime or the suspect should contact University Police Services at 334-COPS (2677), 745-6195 or 911. If you see this suspect, do not engage or attempt to stop him.
Police say both the student and the suspect did not know each other, and the student was not drinking at the time of the assault.
