RENO, Nev. (Mynews4.com & KRNV) -- If you would like to learn more about meat harvesting and processing, there may be a class for you.
The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension's Herd and Harvest Program is offering certification classes for beginners who want to learn more about the processing and retail sales of meat in Nevada. The classes will also teach skills in sanitation and food safety.
The meat harvest course is offered on February 6 and 13, and April 3 and 10, and the meat processing course is offered February 18 and 25, and April 15 and 22.
All courses are one day only, and last from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Wolf Pack Meats will host all classes, and the cost is $100 per class.
