CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) - Reporter Ben Briscoe spoke with 15 out of the 100 witnesses. 2 of the witnesses were inside the IHOP.

Witnesses say they saw the shooter was fixated with the table of military members.

Maybe one of the romantic connections of the shooter worked in the restaurant.

Detectives expect interviews to take most of the day and into the night.

Shooting expanded through most of the shopping center.

Ok, really Nuschler, I mean really? The idea that you are so closed minded and sheltered to think that Nevada is the problem and cause for this maniac because you can buy a hunting rifle or shotgun at a Wal Mart is just closed minded, ignorant, uneducated and not thought out. Since you seem to know the laws so well then how come you did not know that Wal Mart does not even sell handguns and last checked (or at least in NEVADA!) Wal Mart does not even sell any guns since at least the Clinton administration. Hmm? Figured you would get your facts straight before opening your mouth and attempting to make a horrible, tragic incident your soap box. The man killed these people with an AK-47. Last time checked every state has different laws in owning and obtaining an AK-47's. That being said it is extremely difficult to obtain this weapon unless you go about it illegally. Then there are the semi-automatics which are not as expensive and one does not need a special license to own one of these. In the end it really does not matter in which the killer came about the weapon. The fact is he used this weapon to kill people with absolutely no regard to human life, just like those "THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES." GUNS DO NOT KILL, PEOPLE DO! The gun does not fire on its own. The person holding it has to pull the trigger.

They amaze me saying that this wasn't a terroristic event...Just because it doesn't involve the Taliban doesn't mean it wasn't. Just saying!

'This happens in third-world countries, not here,' Swagler said. (Owner of next door barbecue in the strip mall.) I read this quote in a British online tabloid. Yeah..right! The US manufactures most of the weapons in the world. Here in Nevada, you just need a Nevada DL to walk in and buy a handgun and anyone can buy a rifle at Wal-Mart or Sports Authority. Nevada's favorite bumper sticker is "Gun control is being able t hit a Democrat at 500 yds!" Yahoo! The wild west of Nevada! How can someone walk into an IHOP carrying a rifle! Then stand there and talk to 4 National Guardsmen in uniform for 5 minutes before opening fire! Only in a red state!
