RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Tuesday is the last day for taxes submission or extension without receiving a fine, and the United States Post Office on Vassar St. is helping residents make their tax deadlines
On Tuesday, the post office is extending its collection hours. Supervisors tell News 4 that employees will be picking up mail from the collection boxes every hour until midnight to make sure postage is stamped with the April 15th deadline.
News 4 spoke to residents on the final tax day who say they would rather mail their taxes than do them online.
"I just like the physical evidence that I've extended or paid," Tom Hershner says. "I guess I'm old fashioned that way."
Old fashioned or not, his extension request made it just in time for the deadline and he says that's all that matters.
