Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Crash Sends Woman to Hospital

Reno, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Reno Police are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident that sent one person to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The accident happened at 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of South McCarran Boulevard and Plumas Street on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012.

Police say the pedestrian, an unidentified woman, was struck by a vehicle traveling east bound on McCarran Boulevard. The woman was unresponsive when paramedics arrived and transported to the hospital with major injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Alcohol may be a factor in the crash, according to police.

Police are urging anyone with information on the accident to call secret witness at 322-4900.
