RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Officers from the Reno Police Department responded to the area of East 4th Street and Spokane Street on a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at about 10:12 p.m. on June 10.

When Officers arrived on scene they found the victim unconscious in the roadway. It was determined the pedestrian was attempting to walk northbound across 4th Street when she was struck by a Gold Toyota Camry that was traveling westbound. At the time of the collision the pedestrian was not in a marked cross walk.

The victim sustained substantial head trauma and was transported to Renown Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota Camry was not injured and has been cooperating with investigators. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the collision.
