VERDI, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The United States Postal Service says they will reopen the Verdi Post Office for business at 9:30, on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
The office has been suspended since a 2011 Christmas Day fire. Customers have been served out of the Peavine Station in Reno for mail services. The office serves the residents of Verdi with more than 775 rented Post Office Boxes.
The new retail hours for the office will be 9:30 – 4:30, closed on Saturday. Access to Post Office Boxes will be 24 hours.
If customers haven’t received a key, they’ll be able to pick one up at the new office next week. They’ll need to bring in identification, a current utility bill and fill out a new application since the old ones were destroyed in the fire.
