Violent sibling fight leads to one arrest

SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- One juvenile is in custody after a fight with his sister turned violent.

According to Sparks Police, they received a report of a violent fight in the 4000-block of Whispering Wind Court on Tuesday. Upon arriving on scene, officers were told by the 17-year-old suspect and the 14-year-old victim that the suspect had strangled the victim on two occasions. The victim suffered injuries consistent with being strangled.

The suspect was arrested and originally booked at the Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center on Attempted Murder charges. Due to the nature of the charges, he was later transferred to the Washoe County Jail.

There are no further details available at this time, and Sparks Police continue to investigate.
