VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A Virginia City man has filed a lawsuit against Storey County.
According to court documents, Eric Pierson of Virginia City claims he was falsely arrested and wrongly charged with raping his estranged wife back in December of 2007.
Pierson alleges the charges were brought on as part of a political vendetta against him after he ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the county commission.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for emotional distress, harm to his reputation, and punitive damages.
